Healthy Living
On the Navajo Reservation, widespread poverty and poor nutrition are devastating on the health of babies, children, and teens. Limited access to medical care often leads to serious health problems that are much more prevalent on reservations than in the general U.S. population.

NRF and local volunteers promote healthy living
through parenting classes.

We support partners who are offering classes, home visits, or assistance with appointments that help kids, teens, and youth with information regarding health or health related life topics. Examples include parenting classes, exercise classes for youth, nutrition classes for youth with diabetes, or home visits for youth at risk or youth who are homebound.
