Calling all corporations and nonprofits:
Gifts in-Kind (GIK) or non-cash donations are integral to meeting the needs in remote Tribal communities. Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA) accepts in-kind goods that are new, high quality and available in bulk quantities, typically a truckload or enough pallets to serve 250 people at a time. Can your organization make a difference for underserved Tribal communities?
Donors ship GIK products to our distribution centers in Arizona or South Dakota. PWNA transports GIK and purchased goods to our reservation Program Partners, who in turn distribute them to those in need — Elders, children and families. Donated foods must pre-date the “do not use by” date shown on the packaging.
The most urgently needed essentials include:
- Nonperishable foods (soups, beans, vegetables, fruits, protein bars, MREs, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, healthy beverages, etc.)
- Bottled water
- Personal hygiene items (underwear, socks, diapers, lotions, shampoo and conditioner, soap, toothpaste, etc.)
- Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels)
Items we cannot accept:
- Used items such as clothing
- Expired food or expired over-the-counter medications
- Cigarettes, alcohol and other substances
As a tremendously important resource to PWNA, we continually seek areas for expansion to support our mission. If your foundation or organization is concerned with basic humanitarian relief efforts, or long-term, high-impact projects in underserved communities, we hope you will remember Partnership With Native Americans and the communities we serve.
